L'Inde : le choc pour certains, la fascination pour d'autres… Déroutant bien sûr, mais attirant jusqu'à la fascination. Coup de cœur pour Bénarès (Vanarasi) où j'avais une chambre juste au-dessus des crémations le long du Gange… Agra et le magique et reposant Taj Mahal… L'indouhisme, le Bouddhisme, L'Islam, le Sikhisme, le Jaïniesme, chaque religion ayant laisser des traces architecturales majeures… L'invitation d'un ami Indien dans sa famille dans la banlieue pauvre de Delhi… Une séance de cinéma qui a fini en bagarre générale… On n'oublie pas un séjour en Inde !

En 2018, je suis resté deux mois en Inde (pèlerinage Jaïn qui 'a lieu que tous les 12 ans - voire lie sur mon exposition Bahubali - et publication à venir d'un livre de photographies "Sur les pas de Bouddha").

Mon dernier séjour remonte à décembre 2022 où je suis resté entre Delhi et Jaipur.

 

India: the shock for some, the fascination for others… Confusing of course, but attracting to the point of fascination. I fell in love with Benares (Vanarasi) where I had a room just above the cremations along the Ganges… Agra and the magical and relaxing Taj Mahal… Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Sikhism, Jainism , each religion having left major architectural traces… The invitation of an Indian friend to his family in the poor suburbs of Delhi… A cinema session that ended in a general fight… We don't forget a stay in India! In 2018, I stayed two months in India (Jaïn pilgrimage which only takes place every 12 years - even related to my Bahubali exhibition - and the forthcoming publication of a book of photographs "In the footsteps of Buddha"). My last stay was in December 2022 where I stayed between Delhi and Jaipur.
