Je suis allé au Népal la première fois en 2011, dans le cadre d'un projet collectif avec 7 autres photographes internationaux en vue d'éditer un livre de photographies sur Lumbini, le lieu de naissance de Bouddha, dans le Sud du Népal. Ce livre, co-édité par ALLIANCE et l'UNESCO est sorti en septembre 2013.

J’y suis retourné régulièrement depuis. Mon dernier séjour fut en décembre 2023 pour accompagner une équipe de tournage Taïwanaise.

J'ai profité de mes séjours sur place pour réaliser des photos personnelles. Certaines de ces photographies ont fait l’objet d’expositions.

Les Népalais adorent être pris en photo, un régal pour un photographe !

Le Népal est un pays essentiellement hindouiste. Ganesh, la divinité des Arts et de la Réussite m’a soutenu et protégé !

Le pays accueille aussi de nombreux réfugiés Tibétains. Des bouddhistes du monde entier se rendre au Népal en pèlerinage.

I went to Nepal for the first time in 2011, as part of a collective project with 7 other international photographers to publish a book of photographs of Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, in southern Nepal. This book, co-published by ALLIANCE and UNESCO, was released in September 2013.

I have returned regularly since then. My last stay was in December 2023 to accompany a Taiwanese film crew.

I took advantage of my stays there to take personal photos. Some of these photographs have been the subject of exhibitions.

The Nepalese love to have their photos taken, a treat for a photographer!

Nepal is a predominantly Hindu country. Ganesh, the divinity of Arts and Success, supported and protected me!

The country also welcomes many Tibetan refugees. Buddhists from all over the world travel to Nepal on pilgrimage.
